Who Am I?
My name is Erika Culmer. As a licensed architect with over a decade of experience in new builds and remodels, I have a history of leading teams and creating quality projects. My design sensibilities come from years of experience working with and listening to clients, and my training from the University of Notre Dame. I've designed food stores, clubhouses, apartments, townhouses, single-family residences, healthcare and retail.
As your personal Design Advocate, I take on a limited number of projects to ensure that I am providing high quality and focused attention to my clients. I view projects as a collaborative partnership with a shared goal to create an excellent outcome through a straightforward and pleasant process. Whether that's me as your architect, Owner's Rep, or as a second-look consultant, I'm here to make sure you are getting what's right for you.

Feasibility Studies
It's first and foremost important to know if your desired project will even be allowed where you are wanting it to be. Sometimes, zoning classifications can cause issues for your dream project. The feasibility study looks at that and many other factors to make sure you're not investing in something that can't even work. It also gives insight on issues before you move forward. Before any project, a feasibility study is a must.
Conceptual Designs
Working through multiple designs to get to the right one is a process that deserves the proper time and resources. If you have some ideas of what you want and need a more structured approach to how the various options could work, a conceptual design package may be just what you need. It's a visual representation of ideas which makes it far easier to imagine and discuss likes and dislikes about certain designs.
A Second-Look Design Consulation
Sometimes another designer has already been hired but you're not sure if it's quite right. Whether it's a full house plan, elevations or just a kitchen, I can take a second look and advise you on beneficial changes or potential issues. Sometimes, a second look is all you need to validate a plan or to improve it. As a skilled and experienced architect, I can help with this as well.
